The only area to watch sunset in Cyprus is at the west side of the island. The best sunset experiences in Paphos are best found at Petra tou Romiou (the mythological birthplace of the goddess Aphrodite), at Kouklia, Kato Paphos harbour and lighthouse, viewing the sea from Ktima, (old town Paphos), and from the area of Mouttalos, the Akamas region, and specific areas of Polis and Neo Chorio.
